Frequently Asked Questions

What level of AI/ML knowledge is required?
Participants should have intermediate knowledge of at least one AI/ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.) and programming experience. Teams typically work best with a mix of skills including AI model development, software engineering, and domain expertise.
Can we use pre-existing code or models?
You may use open-source libraries, frameworks, and APIs, but your core implementation must be done during the hackathon. You can come with ideas and plans, but coding should start at the beginning of the event. Pre-built projects are not allowed.
Do we need to be machine learning experts?
No, you don't need to be experts, but basic understanding of AI/ML concepts is required. Teams are encouraged to have diverse skill sets - designers, domain experts, and developers can all contribute to a successful project.
Will there be sleeping arrangements?
We provide dedicated resting areas with mats where participants can take short naps. However, we recommend bringing your own sleeping bag or blanket for comfort. The event space will remain open throughout the night.
How are the projects evaluated?
Projects will be evaluated based on four main criteria: technical implementation (30%), innovation (25%), practical utility (25%), and presentation quality (20%). The judging panel includes AI researchers, industry professionals, and faculty members.
