The Call of Duty Tournament at ACUMEN 2025 brings together elite gamers for an action-packed competition featuring the latest title in the legendary franchise. Teams will battle through multiple rounds of intense gameplay, showcasing their tactical skills, teamwork, and precision aiming in various game modes.

Tournament Format & Rules

Tournament Format

  • The tournament will follow a double elimination bracket format
  • Group Stage: Teams divided into groups with round-robin matches
  • Playoff Stage: Top teams from each group advance to playoffs
  • Semi-finals: Best of 3 matches
  • Grand Finals: Best of 5 matches

Game Settings

  • Game: Call of Duty Modern Warfare III (latest update)
  • Platforms: PlayStation 5 (provided at the venue)
  • Game Modes: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Control
  • Maps: To be announced one week before the event
  • Match Duration: Approximately 30-45 minutes per match

Rules & Regulations

Team Composition

4 active players with 1 optional substitute; substitutions only allowed between maps

Equipment

Gaming consoles and monitors provided; players may bring their own controllers and headsets

Conduct

Zero tolerance for unsportsmanlike behavior, cheating, or harassment; violators will be disqualified

Disputes

All referee decisions are final; disputes must be raised immediately after the match

Registration Details

Registration fee: ₹800 per team

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we bring our own PlayStation 5 consoles?
No, to ensure fair play and consistent tournament conditions, all matches will be played on the consoles provided by the organizers. These systems will have the latest game version and standardized settings.
What controllers are allowed?
Standard PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers will be provided. Players may bring their own standard controllers, but all custom controllers or devices must be approved by tournament officials before use. Macro functions and turbo buttons are strictly prohibited.
Will the tournament be streamed?
Yes, all playoff matches, semifinals, and finals will be streamed live on the ACUMEN YouTube and Twitch channels. Select group stage matches may also be featured. By participating, players consent to being included in the broadcast.
What happens if a team member can't make it on the day?
This is why we recommend registering a substitute player. If you don't have a substitute and can't field the minimum 4 players, your team may have to forfeit. In exceptional circumstances, we may allow last-minute substitutions, but they must be approved by tournament officials.
Are there any restricted weapons or equipment in the game?
Yes, the tournament will follow competitive Call of Duty ruleset with certain weapons, attachments, and equipment restricted. A detailed list of restrictions will be provided to all registered teams one week prior to the event, following the latest competitive gaming standards.
