The Paper Presentation event at ACUMEN 2025 provides a platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students to showcase their research work and innovative ideas in various domains of computer science and engineering. This prestigious competition encourages academic exploration, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.

Participants will present their research papers to a panel of experienced academicians and industry professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to receive valuable feedback on your work, enhance your presentation skills, and potentially get your research recognized by the academic community.

Papers are invited in (but not limited to) the following areas:

Submission Guidelines

Paper Format

  • Papers must be submitted in IEEE conference format
  • Maximum of 6 pages including figures, tables, and references
  • Font: Times New Roman, Size 10pt
  • Single column, double-spaced text
  • PDF format only

Submission Process

Papers must be submitted in two phases:

  1. Initial Abstract (300-500 words) submission by March 15, 2025
  2. Full paper submission by March 31, 2025 (for selected abstracts only)

All submissions must be made through the ACUMEN Paper Submission Portal.

Plagiarism Policy

All submissions will be checked for plagiarism. Papers with more than 15% similarity will be rejected. Ensure your work is original and properly cited using IEEE citation style.

Presentation Format

Structure

  • Each presentation will be allocated 15 minutes total
  • 10 minutes for presentation
  • 5 minutes for Q&A session

Evaluation Criteria

Research Quality (40%)

Originality, methodology, significance of results, technical depth

Presentation Skills (30%)

Clarity, organization, visual aids, time management

Technical Knowledge (20%)

Understanding of the subject, ability to answer questions

Paper Quality (10%)

Structure, language, formatting, references

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit a paper that has been previously published?
No, all submissions must be original and unpublished work. Papers that have been presented at other conferences or published in journals are not eligible.
Is it mandatory for all team members to present the paper?
At least one author must present the paper. However, we encourage all team members to participate in the presentation and Q&A session for a more comprehensive discussion.
Will the selected papers be published?
The top 10 papers will be published in the ACUMEN 2025 Digital Proceedings with an ISBN. Additionally, exceptional papers may be recommended for publication in partner journals (subject to their review process).
Can faculty members co-author papers with students?
Yes, faculty members may co-author papers. However, the presentation must be done by the student authors only, and the primary research contribution should come from the students.
